A room is a space where anything can happen. What the room may be used for depends on the physical limitations (which are hard to change), and the interior fittings (which are often more flexible). With regular use a sensation of home may be associated with the room.
Home is often incorrectly related to accommodation or place of birth, whereas it is knowledge of a certain environment and its conditions that are more central to the idea of the home. With insufficient knowledge a feeling of alienation can occur, while on the other hand an excess of knowledge can lead to boredom and passivity.
Alienation is a state of mind that is best described as a gap. When there is an interspace between the self and existence, it is not possible to experience being part of the existence. The dividing gap may be experienced as painful and/or liberating.
